And it came to pass during the reign of the Gerbil High Necromancer that the taru tribes were enslaved. For nigh on a millenium they toiled in servitude until the appearance among them of a saviour; his name was Pimple. Possessed of a rougish grin , and a suggestive wiggle , this tiny taru terror rallied the tribes, and in the decisive battle of "Pimple's Corner", destroyed the vast Gerbil hordes and set the taru tribes free once more.
After the battle Pimple disappeared, but forever after, taru dammen were to tell their children to go and "Hunt for your mighty Pimple", whnever they got underfoot and boisterous.
In time the tribes came together and formed a federation called Windhurst, but that is another tale and this is not the place to tell of it.

there will be more. i generally post legends of tarus series during long maintenances , but it used to be on server forums. i am currently researching into some writings from the windhurst opistry, but trying to find stuff about pimple is not easy. information on him is rather spotty.....

Alternate to that, we can begin a grass roots campaign and fire up a petition to be subsribed to by FFXI players of all species from all across the server to submit to the SE "gods" requesting...nay, demanding that you be allowed to transform into a [Tarutaru] from your current self so that you may relish in the glory, feel da burn and get in "touch" with your inner [Tarutaru] child being.

yes please shade^^. se turned me down when i asked for "race change". they said it would have " serious effect on the historical story line".... wtf does that mean.. ?
